Jahrhundert stellt sich die Frage nach einer Revolution von Public Relations. PR ist nicht mehr auf ein Land beschränkt, sondern überschreitet nationale und auch kulturelle Grenzen. Aufgrund des Mangels an Kenntnissen der vielfältigen Einflussfaktoren im internationalen Bereich ist global ausgerichtete PR jedoch kaum umsetzbar. Damit gibt es ein zunehmendes Interesse an der Untersuchung der PR im Rahmen interkultureller Kontexte innerhalb der vergangenen Jahrzehnte. In der Literatur wird bereits ein starker Zusammenhang zwischen Kultur und PR angenommen: Culture could be a key determinant of the public relations activity of organizations“ (Grunig & Grunig, 1989; vgl. Sriramesh & White, 1992, S. 600). Deswegen beschäftigt sich diese Arbeit mit der Frage nach der Beziehung zwischen Kultur und PR sowie damit, wie Kulturdimensionen bezüglich internationaler Kontexte die globale PR-Praxis beeinflussen.

Im Folgenden wird Public Relations anhand ihrer Charakteristiken (Kapitel 2.1) und der Exzellenz-PR (Kapitel 2.2) dargestellt, um eine Übersicht über die Reichweite von PR zu bekommen. Danach wird die Vielfältigkeit von Kulturen in Verbindung mit deren Definitionen (Kapitel 3.1) und Konzepten sowie Dimensionen nach Hofstede (Kapitel 3.2) erarbeitet. Als Nächstes stehen die Bedeutung der Kulturdimensionen für die Public Relations (Kapitel 4.1) und ein Überblick über internationale PR-Forschung mit weiteren Perspektiven dazu (Kapitel 4.2) im Mittelpunkt. Schliesslich werde Kritikpunkte zum Thema bzw. Konzepte von Kultur und Public Relations zusammengefasst (Kapitel 5), um zu einem Ausblick (Kapitel 6) auf die PR-Praxis im zukünftigen interkulturellen Kontext zu kommen.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 1999 im Fachbereich Filmwissenschaft, Note: befriedigend, Universität zu Köln (Institut für Theater-, Film- und Fernsehwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Proseminar III: Film im Dritten Reich, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ich möchte in dieser Arbeit die verschiedenen Aspekte des Filmwesens im Dritten Reich darstellen unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Unterhaltungsfilms, der mit 86 % den weitaus grössten Anteil an der Gesamtfilmproduktion hatte. Da der Film im Dritten Reich direkt aus dem der Weimarer Republik hervorgegangen ist, werde ich zunächst die Tradition des Unterhaltungsfilms in der Weimarer Republik beschreiben, beginnend bei der Gründung der Ufa im Jahre 1917. Danach werde ich schildern, wie im Dritten Reich auch die Filmproduktion im Zuge der Gleichschaltung umstrukturiert wurde und für die, im Bereich des Unterhaltungsfilms teilweise auch unterschwelligen, propagandistischen Zwecke des nationalsozialistischen Regimes eingesetzt werden konnte.

Abschliessend werde ich beispielhaft den Film Quax der Bruchpilot mit Heinz Rühmann in der Hauptrolle näher untersuchen.
